Our group Dynamic I think was Pretty good. In my group there was Colin, Pablo, and me. I think overall we worked well together. Me and pablo were better for more of the building of the roller coaster and colin was better for more of the things that had to be done on the computer. We did a good job building the coaster and he did a good job of making the art on the computer. I think I did pretty well overall but possibly better at trying new things when I don't succeed.
I learned a lot about how a lot of revolutions had happened throughout the world to form their countries now. Many things that happened back then had a big impact on how things are now. I used humanities through this to examine things that are going on in the past and relating them to things happening today with politics and problems that they are having to battles going on currently in the world.
I learned that like everything else in this world, everything uses physics and that you can use equations to find out almost anything. Like what kind of forces and how much of these forces is on the marble and also how fast it's going at what points in our coasters. We used physics to finish our energy audits. Also it was very interesting to look at this project and its product through a more scientific type of view.
In Engineering I learned how to sauder. Before in the middle school we would have to ask high schoolers to sauder things for us. Because of this I thought it was really hard, but actually it is very easy. My first attempts of making the track were not the right way to do it. I tried a different technique and it worked a lot better. This showed me that when you are trying to do something a certain way and it's not working to try a different way which can end up being more successful.
Our Exhibition for this project was at Belmont park. It was pretty fun because people we didn't know also got to see our final products which were our roller coasters. I was really proud of my groups roller coaster because in the end it worked and our decorations looked good. Overall I think I did a good job on this project. I worked well with my group and I learned a lot of things through this project. I think my strongest suit is work ethic. I think this because when I was very focused throughout this whole project even with all the obstacles of having trouble doing certain things soldering the track. I feel I could do better with paying more attention to all our initial information that we get or find out in the beginning of projects. Sometimes i don't remember or don't pay attention and miss an important piece of information. Overall i really liked this project it was fun and really interesting but also a bit stressful.
