I think that you made a lot of good points, especially the point about them doing bad things but figuring out how to get away with it. I think its really interesting to think about what goes through these guys heads to think what their doing is ok.

Interesting points, I also related to how "unfazed" people are by violence in this society, especially the narrator. In addition, I found it strange how euphemisms were used so often with the unique vocabulary to down play horrible events and actions. How do you feel you are doing reading with a book with such extensive and odd vocabulary? Personally, I find that I am able to form my own definitions with context clues but I am curious about your own reading strategies. Overall, very nice post!

It seems pretty clear that you've been reading the book and actually thinking about it. Connecting to what you said about Alex and the droogs not being "fazed" by all these things, maybe because of the reality they live in doing horrible things like this is regular.

This is a very clear description of the first few chapters. It is a very interesting observation you made about the way crime is sort of brushed off by most people in this dystopia. Even though this place appears to be in a normal setting, with police officers and stores, why do you think these boys are such thugs; what is the reason for their rebellion against the norms of society?
